  2. Patriotism was portrayed in Mi ultimo Adios by simply remembering and thinking the beloved motherland even Rizal was in danger and he was near to death. He really loved his country. The poem contains how grateful Rizal was dying for his country. His dreams and hopes have always been to his country to experience a blessed and free life. His entire life focuses on how he could liberate his people by being oppressed by the Spaniards.

  3. Mi Ultimo Adios (My Last Farewell) is indeed the most patriotic poem ever made by our National Hero. Simply because Rizal sacrificed his life for the sake of the country. Some people viewed death as a terrifying moment in one’s life. But when you get to read the poem, death to him is sweet and serene knowing that through it, the country would be soon free from the colonization of the evil Spaniards. Each line of the poem talks about positivity even facing death. Rizal didn’t mind his love to the persons he will be leaving. The feeling was defeated by the love for his country. Indeed, patriotism is proved in his poem, My Last Farewell.
